The Closing Address was by :

Mr Wemel Cumavoo, CEO / Managing Director, LTT Global Communications Sdn Bhd. He thanked IPD-OUM, MSC Malaysia, Sponsors, Exhibitors, Delegates and all who have supported LTT Global’s efforts to create awareness of Mobile Learning in the Asia Pacific region.

He also briefed them on the APAC Mobile Learning And Edutainment Advisory Panel (APAC-MLEAP) and that LTT Global Communications has undertaken the Secretariat’s function to carry out the strategic objectives of the advisory panel as below:

Strategic Objectives 
APAC-MLEAP has as its strategic objectives in the next 5 year period :

  • to take advantage of technology to influence strategic direction and development of national  education policy to improve educational and training outcomes.
  • to increase the number of educational organizations, corporate and the government sector making strategic and effective use of mobile technology in human capital development and to bridge the digital divide.
  • To inform and influence educational decisions by developing and disseminating evidence of the progress and impact of technology in education, technology innovation and effective practice.
  • To encourage research and development to generate high quality learning and edutainment content for the global market
  • To implement standards, and guidance to support systemic change through ICT that transforms learning and teaching for all.

He also referred them to the email by Mr Denis Susar of the UNPAN (United Nations Public Administration Network), as published in the program book and asked those who have mlearning content or application to forward their names to the APAC-MLEAP Secretariat and we will forward it thereon to UNPAN for them to include in the 1st ICT publication focussing on mobile learning.
                                               

This was followed by Tourism Malaysia Showcase.

A spectacular performance by a 22 member team showcasing diversity of Malaysian culture through traditional and contemporary dance.
